Effective September 19, 2026
MyPayperiod ("we", "us") helps you work out what a paycheck will actually be after overtime, shift differentials, taxes and deductions. Because that means handling information about your pay, we want to be precise about what happens to it. This policy explains exactly that, in plain language.
By default, MyPayperiod stores everything locally in your browser or app, using your device's own storage. That includes your pay rates, hours, shifts, overtime, deductions, employer names, notes and calculated results.
When your data is stored this way:
Creating a free account is optional. Its only purpose is to back up your data and sync it between your devices.
Account data is stored with Supabase, a database host, on servers in the United States. It is encrypted in transit and at rest, and protected by row-level security rules that make it technically impossible for one account to read another account's rows. Access is restricted to the account holder.
To be straightforward about it: MyPayperiod is run by one person, not a large company with a security department. We use reputable infrastructure and follow sensible practices, but no online service can promise perfect security. If you would rather your pay data never leave your device, simply use the app without creating an account — it works fully that way.
We use a privacy-respecting analytics tool to count how many people visit and which pages they land on. It is cookieless, collects no personal information, does not follow you across other websites, and cannot identify individual users. We use it only to understand whether the app is reaching people and where it is confusing them.
We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or any cross-site tracking technology.
MyPayperiod uses your device's local storage for two things: holding your pay data, and — if you have an account — holding a sign-in token so you stay logged in. We set no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking cookies.
The app loads a small number of components from third parties. These providers may see your IP address as a normal part of serving a request:
We do not send your pay data to any of them beyond the database host described above.
We keep account data for as long as the account exists. We do not keep a copy after deletion, other than in routine encrypted backups that age out on their own.
Depending on where you live — including California under the CCPA/CPRA, and the EU and UK under the GDPR — you may have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, export it, or object to how it is handled. We honor these requests from everyone, regardless of location. Email support@mypayperiod.com and we will respond within 30 days.
We have never sold personal information and have no plans to. We do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as California defines that term.
MyPayperiod is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will remove it.
If this policy changes in a way that materially affects how your data is handled, we will update the effective date above and, for account holders, send an email before the change takes effect.
